Wonderful Winter Sensational Spring Superb Summer Fabulous Fall

Each season in
Vermont has it's own beauty and character. The year begins in the
deep of the slumber of Winter, with its invigorating air and
breathtaking views, all solemn and pure blanketed with snow. Soon
life begins to appear with the Springtime...energy is all around us as
the tree sap runs, buds form and new life is birthed on earth.
Summer seems to take forever to get here but when it does, it is a
flurry of activity in planting, playing & prospering...."make hay while
you can!". The fleeting dog days of summer usher in the harvest
season of Autumn. Fall is full of contradictions with many
gloriously warm days but cool brisk nights. The browns of the
meadows created by frost, yet profuse reds, golds, yellows, & orange set
the hillsides ablaze. Apple picking, canning up the garden harvest,
hunting, and nesting for winter become the challenge before old man
winter comes. Finally the holidays are upon us, the woodstove is
crackling, the wind may be howling, but somehow we look forward to this
time of rest and reflection. Today many of us still hustle
and bustle all the year long, but to some it may be Town Meeting Day
before they see the neighbors! Sometimes I think we should go backward
instead of forward......"some things ain't to be improved upon".
So come on up to Granby, Vermont and sit a spell....you might just hear
yourself think! |
